Our annual Auction is the sole fundraiser for the OMB Education Foundation. To learn more about the purpose of the Foundation, see below.
ABOUT THE EVENT
After a silent auction, our guests are treated to a plated dinner, hosted beverages, incredible desserts, and a chance to bid on once-in-a-lifetime experiences in the live auction. The live auction will also include a Fund-A-Need Paddle Raise, in which all proceeds will go to the Foundation’s Scholarship program. This year's theme is Kentucky Derby! Stay tuned for more info. Tickets will go on sale in the early spring.
To donate an item to the Auction, click here for the donation form, or email brianna@omb.org. If you would like to sponsor this event, contact Jenn at membership@omb.org.
ABOUT THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Olympia Master Builders Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to educate, foster and stimulate interest in the construction industry by:
- Supporting and encouraging a climate of learning and technological advancement within the construction trades;
- Awarding of scholarships to young people for the study of construction trades at accredited colleges, institutions and universities or for professional instruction;
- Uniting, for their respective educational, cultural and intellectual improvement and enlightenment, young persons who are interested in participating in those activities generally carried on by the construction industry, and for the education of the public as to these matters and activities.
HOW THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION IS SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY:
- Since it’s induction, the Foundation has awarded $99,750 in scholarships to students pursuing continuing education in our industry
- In 2024, the Foundation supported local events like Thurston County Chamber’s “Find Your Future” and New Market Skills Center’s “Try-A-Trade”.
- The Foundation is partnering to launch a brand-new Residential Construction Training Program at South Sound Community College in 2025! The curriculum is industry certified by the Home Builders Institute and will be a great opportunity for our community to meet the growing demand for skilled workers in our industry.
- The Foundation has also funded a Pre-Apprenticeship Program at Tumwater High School and is continually focused on finding more opportunities to duplicate this effort in other schools
